The first few months of 2023 have gone quicker than I could have imagined. The ktMINE team has been busy attending and hosting events, improving our offerings, and innovating within the market.

To kick off this year of events, we attended the AUTM Annual Meeting in February to discuss the numerous enhancements we have made to our platform. These improvements aim to help commercialization and licensing groups at technology transfer offices and universities realize ROI in their patenting efforts. Additionally, we discussed how ktMINE provides crucial comparables on licensing rates and values to aid in negotiations and transactions.

Our ultimate objective is to provide practical business insights for all aspects of intellectual property, and as a result, we have expanded our transaction datasets, directly linking them to the licensed and/or sold IP. Gone are the days when our users have to subscribe to a different patent search database to join our licensing data. Our royalty rate and licensing analytics are now built into the patent search analytics area of our product, which saves hours of offline work, and allows users to understand the underlying value of patents in real-world transactions.

We are gearing up for AALL this summer which will be an exciting time to showcase the new features we are currently working on. If you will be in attendance, be sure to reach out so we can set up a time to connect while in Boston.

Behind the scenes, we have launched a new version of our corporate tree API, enabling financial information searches such as market cap, annual revenues, profits, etc, in addition to all the existing search features.

2023 is turning out to be one heck of a year, and I can’t wait to see where this momentum takes us.
