The UI/UX engineer will be responsible to reviewing our online products and implementing standardization of elements and user workflow. The ideal candidate will be able to leverage industry standards and enforce them during the development process of our products.

The candidate should be able to think outside of the proverbial box and understand user feedback and log data to implement more efficient workflows or suggest additional features or actions that a user can take to improve the user experience and interface.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of UI/UX industry standards and trends
  • Experience in using Javascript, AngularJS, CSS, HTML, and ASP.NET
  • Experience with Bootstrap CSS design principles
  • Experience in designing responsive UI for web applications
  • Ability to produce wireframes and user workflow diagrams with a portfolio to demonstrate

The Structured Data Engineer will be responsible for parsing XML (or any structured raw data) into our data models to be stored in our relational, NoSQL and full text index databases. The primary responsibilities will focus on assessing the raw data from the source and determining the best way to process the information.

Once processed, the ideal candidate should be able to review elements within the processed data that can be linked with our existing data sets. An example would be linking a patent with patents that are being litigated within a court case.

Required Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of XML (or other XML based markup languages), JSON structure and organization.
  • Object mapping from the above structured data
  • Database normalization and indexing skills to ensure an efficient data structure for the types of queries we run
  • Knowledge of SQL and full text index database systems
  • Class library or static structure development experience
  • Experience in agile development practices including fast paced development iterations
  • Familiarity with raw patent data a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or other
    related experience

The Unstructured Data Engineer will be responsible for aggregating multiple types of data from public sources. Sources include syndicated news, corporate press releases or data pulled from scraping or crawling tools.

This job requires a high level of creativity and ingenuity in order to be successful. The challenges in this position are endless and the ideal candidate should be able to take arbitrary requirements and turn them into actionable tasks.

Once data is collected and stored within our environment this candidate should be able to work with the engineering team for integration into our databases and platforms depending on the context of the data.

Required Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of data analysis using regular expressions, NLP, machine learning and entity extraction
  • Deep knowledge of HTTP and manipulation of web requests
  • Data transformation and categorization into object models that can be used within the application
  • Skilled at database design and normalization principles

  • Familiarity and success selling IP data to customers
  • Proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology
  • Understanding of selling through a consultative sales process
  • Creative and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Driven to succeed in a technical organization with a growing customer base

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development of customer deliverables
  • Work with international patent authorities to acquire the raw data to be brought into our environment
  • Identify new areas to acquire new data be handed off to our data integration specialists
  • Continue to qualify data that should be added to our platform from feedback from our market leaders
  • Contribute research activities for articles, blogs, events, and other sales and marketing
  • Work closely with Research Operations and Technology teams on a daily basis
  • Qualify data by perform initial data viability research through data entry

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read through structured data and understand its composition (XML, CSV, JSON, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as a desire to be a productive member of our team
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize with sensitivity to deadlines
  • Knack for finding sources of data on the internet and creating a method to download data to be delivered to our engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound customer calls and email inquiries
  • Identify opportunities to generate sales
  • Access customers’ needs to improve their satisfaction with our products
  • Build and maintain customer support product documentation
  • Work with various departments to ensure support product documentation is accurate
  • Share product feedback with technology team for product enhancements
  • Able to handle customers with care and ensure their inquiries get resolved in a timely manner
  • Ability to develop policies and procedures for support

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer support role, preferably in a technology or software business
