How to use Search Builder
Step 1:Â
Take your own description of the transaction you are looking for. This can be a single sentence or an entire description lifted directly from your clients and interviews.

Step 2:Â
Hit Enter and let the Search Builder do the work for you.
Instead of trying to figure out what filters would best encapsulate this query, the AI Search Builder lets you get started immediately, taking your natural language and translating it into a search strategy using ktMINE’s available filters. Depending on the input, the Search Builder will determine which filters available would most accurately translate the query posed.Â
In the example, the builder identifies “Manufacturing/Process Intangible” to narrow into patent-focused licenses. It correctly marks this as a search within the industry of “Healthcare: Pharmaceuticals” due to the need for medications.Â
Finally, it provides a list of keywords to help narrow into the area of “Diabetes”, including terms not directly named in the original query such as “Insulin Therapy”.
Step 3:Â
Modify as needed.
After the Search Builder creates the foundation for your search, use either the Editing or Narrowing Functions to apply or remove additional filters as you see fit.Â
If you would like to expand your parameters, use the Semantic AI search to add keywords associated with the ones already being applied; or use narrowing filters to further limit the contents of the search.
