Brett Schoell
As the lead development and account manager for ktMINE’s Transfer Pricing, Valuation, and Forensics markets, Brett Schoell supports clients’ research efforts to reduce the time needed to make critical business decisions. With ktMINE, Schoell has been involved in economic discussions in the transfer pricing community. He coordinates and leads technical training sessions on TP analysis issues. His client interactions range from tax executives to economic consultants, coordinating with global business teams.

Courtney Conn is a ktMINE Business Development Consultant for IP Strategy and Valuation clients. Solution-driven, Courtney thrives as an advocate for her clients' needs and regularly shares IP data research techniques.
Debra Smetana
As a ktMINE research analyst, Debra Smetana processes and examines intellectual property daily. Her primary focus is interpreting license agreement structures. With her extensive studies of Archaeology, Debra specializes in qualitative research and can translate data into compelling narratives. She uses ktMINE’s data and analytics platform to identify IP patterns that can a provide insight into a company’s strategy and industry trends.
Eric Podlogar
Eric leads the IP Legal market at ktMINE and is responsible for ensuring that ktMINE products meet customer needs. He specializes in technical demonstrations and consultations with over 15 years of experience in business intelligence and IP licensing. Eric worked as a Senior Patent Licensing Associate at Google working on patent acquisitions, securing licensing engagements, and procuring freedom of action, and prior to that at Motorola Mobile Devices as a Senior Manager of IP Licensing working on exposure analyses, industry profiles and acquisitions.
John Wiora
As Chief Operating Officer, John oversees strategic initiatives for the company’s growth, manages partner and reseller relationships, and supports product enhancement strategies. John started at ktMINE in 2010 as an Expert Analyst with experience in strategic economic analysis. Having researched trends, patterns and relationships surrounding specialized facets of IP intangibles transactions for a broad range of customers, he is well versed in the needs of our broad customer base. Through his work with ktMINE, and his previous life as a transfer pricing professional, John has personally analyzed thousands of IP license agreements. He has conducted research and contributed to various publications including International Tax Review, Licensing Executive Society (LES), Intellectual Asset Management (IAM), and Business Valuation Resources.

As a ktMINE research analyst, Julia Justusson processes and examines intellectual property daily. Interested in tracking innovation across various fields through IP, she uses ktMINE to identify IP patterns that can provide insight into a company’s strategy and industry trends.

Megan Rourke
As ktMINE’s lead research analyst, Megan Rourke analyzes intellectual property and licensing data sets to uncover market trends and company innovations. Megan uses this knowledge to provide ktMINE users with actionable insights based on the most up-to-date intellectual property data. As she interacts with these data sets on a daily basis, she knows the in’s and out’s of all things licensing and IP related. Megan has been cited in Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) and co-authored a report distributed by AutoHarvest.
Tyler Creed
A recent graduate of the Chicago Academy for the Arts, Tyler Creed spent the summer helping keep the ktMINE machine afloat as an intern with the After School Matters Advanced Internship Program. An avid fan of music, Tyler is attending American University in Washington DC to study both Political Science and Audio Engineering. During his time with ktMINE, Tyler assisted with product testing, prospecting, marketing and public relations, and data research. You may have seen him belting out Lord of the Rings hits, such as In Dreams and Into the West, with the Chicago Children's Choir at Ravinia the past five years.
